What's in a name?

Dziret'ái (Tsi-er-eh-tai) translates from Dene into English as Flying or Soaring or Plane.

During our consultation with Elders and experts in education, we wanted a name for this program which connected with the culture and Indigenous peoples across the Athabasca Basin.

“I hear a lot of dream of the young people wanting to be this or that and having the pilot project would be a great opportunity for our young, young people in the Athabasca."
